I completed my Ph.D. in Sociology at Brown University in 2024 and have had the privilege of being a fellow at Central European University in Hungary. My research is at the crossroads of global sociology, sociology of race, and political sociology. I'm particularly passionate about postcolonial theory and the work of anti-colonial thinkers from the Global South.

Currently, I am working on a book that explores how the U.S. occupation in Afghanistan has shaped the self-perception of middle-class Afghans. I鈥檝e had the opportunity to publish my research in Ethnic and Racial Studies, and my work has been supported by funding from Zeit-Stiftung Ebelin und Gerd Bucerius, the Watson Institute for International and Public Affairs, and the Cogut Center for the Humanities.
