Kim Lartz is a versatile technical director, production manager, and designer. With a deep passion for the performing arts, Kim has dedicated her career to crafting compelling and detailed environments that bring stories to life on stage. Her expertise spans from managing complex technical operations to designing detail-oriented sets, ensuring that every production she is involved in meets the highest artistic and technical excellence standards.

As a technical theatre educator, Kim is committed to using theatre as a powerful community engagement and personal development tool. She believes in the transformative power of storytelling and strives to create educational experiences that teach technical skills and inspire students to appreciate the broader impact of theatre on society. Kim also strives to inspire her students to be creative problem-solvers and to develop a strong work ethic. Kim believes in fostering a collaborative and supportive learning environment that empowers students to achieve their full potential. Through her teaching, Kim emphasizes the importance of collaboration, creativity, and the role of theatre in fostering empathy and connection among diverse audiences.

Kim holds an MFA in scene design from Illinois State University and a Bachelor's in Theatre Design from Frostburg State University. She has worked in theatre from the mountains of West Virginia to the vineyards of California and many places in between. Recent work in the Twin Cities includes production managing Teatro Del Pueblo's world premiere production of Love in a Time of Hate and scene designing Escape to Margaritaville in St. Cloud with GREAT Theatre.
